STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC has announced Johnnie Sanchez as its new Academy Recruiting Coordinator and Noah Schroyer as the Communications & Social Media Coordinator.
Tormenta FC welcomes Sanchez to its Marketing team. Sanchez will serve as the Coordinator of Academy Recruiting, while he continues his role as an Academy head coach.
Sanchez is a recent graduate of Georgia Southern University where he majored in Sport Management. He has served as the 05/06 Ibis Statesboro and 13B Ibis Statesboro Head Coach since 2021. With taking on this role, Sanchez will expand the overall knowledge of our TFC Academy throughout the South Georgia and Lowcountry of South Carolina communities.

I began coaching with the Academy in 2021 and it’s a dream come true to be trusted with identifying, developing, and giving opportunities to the youth of South Georgia and the Low Country of South Carolina. As our most recent hire, Schroyer joins us as the Coordinator of Communications and Social Media, effective immediately.
Native of Douglasville, GA and an Oglethorpe University graduate, Schroyer brings a knowledge of social media management, as well as a journalism background. He was a member of the Stormy Petrel baseball team, during which he managed the Instagram and Twitter accounts, as well as worked for the Douglas County Sentinel and Times-Georgian as a news and sports writer.
