Player of the Month Nominees:
Jamil Roberts, Midfielder: Roberts was able to score his goal of the season against the Red Wolves and was able to score his second goal days later in a midweek clash against the Triumph SC. Roberts ability to play through the wing also allows him to help the defensive unit track back and defend to alleviate any danger.
Adrian Billhardt, Midfielder: Billhardt showed up in the most crucial moment for South Georgia this month. In a historical comeback, Billhardt scored the fifth goal in the thriller match between Tormenta FC and the Triumph SC. Not only did he score the equalizer, but Billhardt also provided an assist. Billhardt leads the assist charts at South Georgia alongside Sterling with four assists.
Gabriel Cabral, Midfielder: For a third consecutive month, Cabral is a contender on Tormenta FC’s player of the Month voting. Having won for the month of May and June, Cabral returns to complete his trifecta of wins. Cabral finished the month with three goals and three assists, making it his most productive month of his young professional career.
Kazaiah Sterling, Forward: Sterling was able to have his most productive month as a Tormenta FC player. Sterling propelled South Georgia to an impressive win over Greenville with a one-goal, one-assist performance. Sterling has been named to the USL League One Team of the Week for three consecutive weeks and is in contention for USL’s League One Player of the month.
