Tormenta FC Academy would like to invite you to our girls select soccer program. We look forward to working with all players born between the birth years of 2006 and 2012.
The Tormenta FC Academy girls program competes in the DPL as well as the South Carolina State League. Our teams will also compete in high-level tournaments and showcases throughout the region. Coached by our professional coaching staff, teams will be structured to position your daughter in the best possible position for development and success.
Team play and training are available in Savannah, Effingham, Hardeeville, Bluffton, Hilton Head, and Statesboro.

DPL Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Development Player League (DPL)?
The DPL is a national league providing an elite competition platform for top youth soccer clubs in the US. Clubs must apply and meet competitive standards to be admitted to the league. DPL is the highest competition level of soccer available to U13-U19 female players in South Georgia and the Lowcountry of South Carolina.
Is DPL only for girls?
Yes, the DPL is a girls’ only league.
What clubs are in the Southeast DPL?
The upcoming DPL season will feature a home and away game versus Charlotte Development Academy, Charleston Soccer Club, Wake FC, Triangle United and one other club that is entering the league from the Charlotte area. We will also play the following teams once in the league either at home or away: Roswell Santos Soccer Club, Tophat Soccer Club, Hoover Vestavia, Southern Soccer Academy, Inter Atlanta, and AFC Lightning.

What age groups participate in the DPL?
U19 (‘04/’05), U17 (’06), U16 (’07), U15 (’08), U14 (’09), U13 (’10) teams will participate in the DPL.
What is the travel schedule?
Home and away games will be played in pairs with one on Saturday and one on Sunday to efficiently travel to compete against teams in our region. All teams play in the same location each competitive weekend.
Can a DPL player also play high school soccer?
Yes, players that participate in the DPL can play high school soccer. There is no conflict between DPL and high school seasons for U15 and up.
What are the dates for the DPL season?
The schedule has not been set but DPL teams will begin training in late July with league games beginning at the end of August and running through the January time frame. U13 and U14 teams will also have a spring season.
What are the required showcase events?
DPL teams will compete a Regional Showcase event to culminate the season in the January time frame. This will be an excellent showcase for college coaches to observe our players.
What is the training schedule?
Teams will train three times per week. Practices will be held in centralized locations.
Will college coaches attend games?
Yes, college coaches attend DPL games. The showcase events are well attended by Division I, II, and III collegiate coaches.
Who can participate?
All players from any club are eligible to tryout to play in the DPL
