Q&A WITH ELIZABETH AND REONNA
WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO TORMENTA FC?
Elizabeth: I heard of Tormenta FC through social media.
Reonna: I first heard of Tormenta FC women’s team on the local news.
WHAT EXCITES YOU ABOUT THE NEW WOMEN’S TEAM?
Elizabeth: It’s exciting that I get to watch the games, and I get to watch the different positions being played on the pitch. And having this team in the community means that young girls can have more female role models to look up to.
Reonna: What excites me is that I get to watch and see what position I want to play. I also like having female role models because they show how hard work pays off.

WHO INSPIRES YOU?
Both: The United States Women’s Soccer team inspires us because they show an entire nation that winning is possible and have inspired an entire generation of girls to play the game.
ANY OTHER THOUGHTS YOU’D LIKE TO SHARE?
Elizabeth: I feel like society is being unfair to the women’s soccer national team because they win more matches and put in the effort and the time, but they don’t earn as much as the men’s team.
Reonna: The women’s and men’s should be equal and should receive the same amount of pay or more because they win more games.
