MADISON, Wis. – South Georgia Tormenta FC will face off against Forward Madison FC for the second time in the 2023 USL League One regular season, having fallen 0-1 in the first meeting from Optim Sports Medicine Field at Tormenta Stadium in Statesboro, Georgia.
Madison, which enters the contest sitting third in the standings, boasts one of the best defenses this season. Madison is tied for a league-high eight clean sheets and has only conceded 14 goals (second best) against League One opposition.
Tormenta FC enters the match after falling to Greenville Triumph SC 1-2 in the final match of the Peach States Derby. Despite struggles at home, Tormenta FC has been one of the best road teams in the league for a second year in a row, boasting a 4-3-1 record.
Following Wednesday’s match, Tormenta FC shifts its attention to Saturday, when the team will travel to play Union Omaha at 8 p.m. ET (ESPN+).
