STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC will host Jacksonville University in a preseason match this weekend, kicking off at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Tormenta Stadium. This is Tormenta FC’s fourth preseason match of five going into the 2024 USL League One regular season.

Jacksonville University will play Tormenta FC following a 5-3-9 (W-D-L) record in the 2023 season. This is the first time in history that South Georgia has played against the Dolphins.
Tormenta FC will return to Tormenta Stadium following a 12-6-14 (W-D-L) 2023 campaign. South Georgia Tormenta FC has six members of the 2023 roster returning in the 2024 season. The former Jacksonville University player Mason Tunbridge joins the Tormenta FC squad just in time to face off against one of his former teams.
Last weekend, Tormenta FC fell to Chattanooga FC in the first match of the Huntsville City FC Blastoff Battle, but returned to Statesboro following a 1-2 victory over the hosts, Huntsville City FC. South Georgia will play its final preseason match against USL Championship team Charleston Battery on March 2.
The USL League One regular season opens on Saturday, March 9 as Tormenta FC hosts Central Valley Fuego FC in what will be the first match under the team’s new manager, Jermaine Jones.
