STATESBORO, Ga. — South Georgia Tormenta FC proudly announces that goalkeeper Ford Parker was named as a member of the USL League One Team of the Week for week two of the 2024 regular season. Parker received the honor on the heels of a seven-save performance during Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Forward Madison FC.

Parker started the match for Tormenta FC, making three saves inside his box. During the 90 minutes, Parker completed all but one of his passes and led the match with 11 recoveries.
In the 18th minute, Madison forced an early save from Parker, which he could only parry. In the 77th minute, The 6-foot-2-inch shot-stopper was again called into action to make a diving save on a left-footed volley from Jimmie Villalobos.
Parker received the USL League One Save of the Week award for week one for his heroic first-half save against Central Valley Fuego. In the 37th minute, a left-footed shot from Fuego’s Moe Espinoza forced a diving save from Parker, which would have otherwise found the top corner of the goal.
South Georgia and Parker are back in action at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 23, when they face the Richmond Kickers at City Stadium.
Fans are invited to enjoy the upcoming away-game match against the Richmond Kickers at the Tormenta FC watch party at The Clubhouse.
