Statesboro, Ga. – April 10, 2024 – Goalkeeper Ford Parker has been voted the South Georgia Tormenta FC March Player of the Month. The American shot-stopper won the award for his excellent start to the 2024 campaign, during which he made a league-leading 20 saves.

The Player of the Month winner was determined via a weighted average from three voting bodies:
- A fan vote comprised 60 percent of the poll.
- Tormenta FC staff ballots comprised 20 percent of the survey.
- Media ballots comprised 20 percent of the survey.

Parker received 42.53% of the vote, winning him March’s Player of the Month award.
The New Mexico native’s performances in USL League One play were outstanding, leading all goalkeepers in saves with 20 stops during March, 14 of which were made from shots inside the box. He also completed 80% of passes and made 42 recoveries.
The league also recognized Parker’s outstanding achievements, nominating him for the USL League One Save of the Week all four weeks of March, which he won handily. He was also named to the USL League One Team of the Week on three occasions.
Parker has maintained his exceptional form into April, keeping his first clean sheet of the season against Lexington SC. He and the rest of the team are eyeing their next match against USL Championship side Miami FC in the third round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on April 17.
