STATESBORO, Ga. – May 30, 2024 – South Georgia Tormenta FC’s USL League One team has announced four nominees for the Tormenta FC Player of the Month award for May, and fans have their chance to vote!
Conor Doyle, Jackson Khoury, Ajmeer Spengler, and Sebastián Vivas are up for the honor for their May form.
Voting for the Tormenta FC Player of the Month award will run through Tuesday, June 4. The winner will be determined via a fan vote in the Tormenta FC App, which can be downloaded here.
Player of the Month Nominees:
Conor Doyle, Midfielder: The Tormenta FC captain played 414 minutes in May and recorded his first league assist for South Georgia against his former club Union Omaha. The experienced midfielder
Jackson Khoury, Midfielder: The Lebanese international picked up his first goal of the 2024 season in the USL Jägermeister Cup against Greenville Triumph. He also supplied seven key passes proving to be a threat in Tormenta’s build up play.
Ajmeer Spengler, Midfielder: The Tampa native continued his strong form that he opened the season with by recording three assists and netting his first professional goal. His creativity also saw him complete six dribbles and deliver five key passes. He also won 22 duels, proving to be a defensive threat.
Sebastián Vivas, Forward: The Argentinian attacker again found the back of the net in three out of five matches for South Georgia during May. His first brace and assist for South Georgia earned him the USL League One Player of the Week award after the Ibises beat the Red Wolves 4-0. Vivas also most recently scored the lone goal against Richmond in the USL Jägermeister Cup
