STATESBORO, Ga. – July 3, 2024 – South Georgia Tormenta FC’s defender Preston Kilwien has been named the Tormenta FC June Player of the Month in recognition of his outstanding contributions on the field.
Fans had the final say on Kilwien’s June Player of the Month award, voting on the Tormenta FC app.

Kilwien received 58% of the vote, winning June’s Player of the Month award.
Now in his second year with the team, Kilwien has become a regular face on the starting lineup, and has made key clearances and defensive plays throughout the month of June, shutting down goal scoring opportunities for his opponents and strengthening the team’s defense.
Kilwien helped secure the team’s victory on penalties in the USL Jägermeister Cup match against Central Valley Fuego by scoring during the first sudden-death penalty kick, highlighting his ability to perform under pressure. This contribution was instrumental in the team’s success on penalty kicks.
Founded in 2015, Tormenta FC is a professional soccer club based in Statesboro, Georgia. Tormenta FC competes in the professional USL League One and the pre-professional USL W League, under the United Soccer League (USL) and has also established a thriving academy system throughout South Georgia and the Lowcountry of South Carolina.
