Pedro Fonseca joined Tormenta FC prior to the 2023 USL League One season. He made 30 appearances for South Georgia scoring six goals and providing seven assists
With the Real Monarchs, Pedro Fonseca appeared in 20 matches, wearing the captain’s armband for seventeen of those matches during the 2022 season. With seven goals and four assists, Fonseca proved to be the most productive player offensively on the field for the Monarchs.
Fonseca was selected by Real Salt Lake in the second round of the 2022 MLS SuperDraft from the University of Louisville. Fonseca joined Real Salt Lake’s 2022 preseason. Fonseca featured for the first team in its fixtures against Grand Canyon University and Houston Dynamo FC.
At the University of Louisville, Fonseca tallied 15 goals and 16 assists in 48 appearances. Fonseca appeared in three NCAA Tournaments and earned a berth to the Round of 16 during his sophomore year. To note, Fonseca reunites with former Louisville teammate Elijah Amo after several seasons as teammates.
Fonseca also featured for F.C. Golden State in the PDL (now USL League Two), where he helped Golden State reach the Fourth Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, defeating USL Championship sides Orange County SC and Las Vegas Lights. Fonseca scored Golden State’s lone goal against MLS side LA Galaxy in the Fourth Round of the national competition.
